Chonburi Thailand
Chon Buri is a renowned coastal province on the eastern
side of the Gulf of Thailand located not far from Bangkok.
It plays an important role in agriculture (sugarcanes,
coconut, and pineapples), fishery, and contains an industrial
area. The province is a sea-lover’s paradise with
lots of idyllic beaches and seafood restaurants in Chon
Buri, Sri Racha, and Bang Saen. Pattaya is world famous
for its excellent sports facilities and nightlife, while
Sattahip serves as the impressive base of the Royal
Thai Navy.
How to get here
By Bus
Air-conditioned and non-airconditioned coaches regularly
leave from the Eastern Bus Terminal (Ekamai) and Nothern
Bus Terminal (Morchit) on Kampaengphet Road throughout
the day. Departure times and fares may be obtained by
calling the Eastern Bus Terminal (0-2391-8097) or the
Nothern Bus Terminal at 0-2936-2852/66 ext. 311.

By Car
Pattaya can be reached in a comfortable 2 and half
hour drive along Sukhumvit Highway via Bang Pakong,
Chon Buri and Sriracha. And one can also avoid Chon
Buri by opting for State Highway 36 (new route - Chon
Buri - Pattaya - Rayong) or motorway from Bangkok (Rama
9 Rd-Chon Buri).
